Elevate your West Coast Swing turns from functional to fabulous! This class is a styling intensive for both leaders and followers, focusing on adding personal flair and technical precision to your spins. Expect fun drills and partner work to boost your technique and confidence, and walk away with some seriously cool new moves. We'll move beyond basic rotations, exploring nuanced body movement, arm styling, and footwork variations to create captivating turns. All levels are welcome, provided you have a basic understanding of beginner moves and fundamental turns like Sugar Tuck and Inside Roll. - Styling Focus: Leaders & Followers will learn to add personal flair and technical precision to your turns, moving beyond basic rotations. - Technique & Creativity: Blend technical drills (balance, axis, momentum) with creative exploration of body movement, arm styling, and footwork. - Practical Application: Practice partner and solo drills to build confidence and develop a repertoire of stylish turn variations. - Skill Development: Gain tools to enhance your musicality and continue developing your unique dance expression Dates: 4 Week Group Class, Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21, 28 Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Where: Salseros Dance Studio 2512 Oakmont Way, Suite D, Eugene, OR 97401 Price: - Early Bird: $70.00 Per Person now through April 29th - Standard: $85.00 Per Person starting May 1st FAQ ---What do I need to know to attend the class?--- West Coast Swing Basic Patterns and starting techniques such as Left Side Pass, Under Arm Turn, Sugar Push, Whip, Compression/Tension, Anchor, Stretch, Double and/or Triple Step Timing ---Do I need a partner?--- No, we rotate partners throughout the class ---I noticed some classes have a letter or number in their name. What does that mean?--- - Classes labeled with a letter (e.g., A, B, C) cover distinct sections of the subject. You can join any lettered class without needing to attend previous ones. - Classes labeled with a number (e.g., 1, 2, 3) form a progressive series. After series 1, you must have attended the preceding classes or get instructor's permission. ---I might have to miss a day of class. Can I still attend?--- While we recommend full attendance, missing one day after the first is usually fine. New students are only accepted on days 1 or 2. We recommend taking a private lesson if you want to catch up with the class.
